United States remains on top for medal count; while England joins top five for first time!

The United Sates holds their lead winning the most medals in the XXIX Olympics currently held in Beijing. Here are the top five countries.

United States: 19 Gold 21 Silver 25 Bronze Total: 65

China: 35 Gold 13 Silver 13 Bronze 6 Total: 61

Australia: 11 Gold 10 Silver 12 Bronze Total: 33

Russia: 7 Gold 12 Silver 12 Bronze Total: 31

Great Britain: 11 Gold 7 Silver 8 Bronze Total: 26

England topples France knocking them out of fifth place and climbing into the top five for the first time since the Olympics began; while the United States, China, Australia, and Russia held their spots while adding medals to their totals.

  2. “while England joins top five for first time!”?? That’s like me saying New York is top of the table and not the united States. There is also Scottish, Northern Irish and Welsh folk in team G.B. Its not Team England!!
